Onida Davis
Onida Davis, 87, of Anna, died Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Integrity Healthcare in Anna.
She was born on May 19, 1933, in Anna, the daughter of James Monroe and Maggie Mae Phillips Landis.
She married Lawrence Davis Jr. on Nov. 19, 1950, in Mill Creek. He preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2007.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her children, Roger Davis of Pomona, Stanley Davis of Anna, Mike (Betty) Davis of Anna, Connie Lingle of Anna and Patricia (Tim) Trovillion of Golconda; seven grandchildren, Rachel (Chad) Stewart, Carl “Butch” (Pam) Earnhart, Aubry Page, Chad Lingle, Gabe (Edna) Morris, Jake Morris and Mason (Aja) Morris; nine great-grandchildren, Malik Groh, Rebecca Stewart, Dakota and Aspen Earnhart, Jayden and Shaylee Moore, Austin Lingle, Michela Morris, Ashley Saenz; two brothers, Floyd (Ann) Landis and Leonard (Doris) Landis, all of Anna; and many other family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence Davis Jr.; grandchildren Jeremy and Tina Earnhart; siblings Ann Strickland, Carl and Jack Landis, Edna Vines, Judy Yancey and Jeri Manus.
She loved farming, raising cattle and cooking. She dearly loved spending time with her family.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, at Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Interment immediately followed.
Everyone who attended was requested to wear face covering and observe social distancing guidelines.
Memorial contributions are preferred. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
