Omer Brown

Omer Brown, 35, of International Falls, Minn., and formerly of Jonesboro, died at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at UMMC Medical Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn.

He was born on Feb. 4, 1982, in Carbondale, the son of Terrance and Brenda Baker Brown. He enjoyed being surrounded by friends and listening to music. He loved watching movies before he lost his sight due to diabetes.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Brown of Jonesboro; a sister, Melissa (Lee) Martel of International Falls, Minn.; a half-brother, Boone Cutler of Washington, D.C.; his grandfather, Thomas Baker of Jonesboro; nieces and nephews, Ronald Terry, Henry Martel, Brittnay Martel and Erian Martel; great-nieces and great-nephews, Josephine Terry, Ronald Terry Jr., Jackson Terry, Avery Netland and Jayden Netland; a close friend, Tom Pickels; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Terrance Brown.

A memorial gathering was held Saturday, Feb. 3, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with sharing of memories by family and friends at 6:30 p.m.
