Nancy Evelyn Stringer Lance

Nancy Evelyn Stringer Lance, 69, died a few days short of her 70th birthday at 11:18 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She lived in rural Olmsted and was born on May 21, 1954, in Anna, the daughter of Carl Edward and Carol Lee Sowers Stringer.

She was a member of the Pulaski Christian Church. She was a graduate of Meridian High School in Mounds. Earlier in her life, she worked for her parents at the Dixie Drive Inn and later worked for Crain Enterprise in Mound City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Cheryl Lance; her husband, Fred O. Lance, on Feb. 8, 2021; a son, Frederick Scott Lance, on March 25, 2021; and a brother, Michael Ray Stringer, on May 24, 2022.

Survivors include her daughter, Jessica (Brandon) Beauchamp; granddaughters Charleigh and Evelyn Beauchamp, whom she cherished; Uncle Chuck Sowers; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside memorial services were held on her birthday at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pulaski. Pastor Mike Sharp and Pastor Bill Littrell officiated. Inurnment followed.
