Michael "Mike" Alva Duskey

Michael "Mike" Alva Duskey, born Feb. 13, 1945, to Alva and Ruby (Lacy) Duskey, left to go home with Jesus on Dec. 18, 2025 approx. 8 a.m.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alva and Ruby (Lacy) Duskey, his wife Janice Ann Duskey, his sister Marilyn (Duskey) Patterson, and his brother Ernest Forehand.

Michael survives by his daughters Michelle "Shell"(Jenna) Duskey and Mary Ellen Duskey both of Anna, IL, a son Donald (Jennifer) Duskey from Oak Grove, KY, Nieces Alva Lynn (Clif) Pike of South Carolina, and Cindy (Ed) LaHue of Missouri, and Stepdaughter Ann (Jason) James of Perryville, MO. 

He also survives by his grandchildren; Maya Duskey, Shae Mattingly, Dustin James, Antonio Zavala, Ruby Carlson, Carl Michael Duskey, Jersi Duskey, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Michael never met a stranger and was well known in the community. He served two years in the Army, serving in Germany, as a Rocket Launcher and an explosives expert. 

He was born and raised on a farm where he learned hard work, and he worked his whole life retiring from Choate Mental Health. 

He loved his family unmeasurably, was an avid music lover, loved riding horses, and dancing on the weekends.

He was a great man, loved by his family, friends, and community. He will be dearly missed.

Visitation was held on Monday, Dec. 22 at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. Military Honors were held by the area veterans of the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 followed by the conclusion of services.

The family requests with gratitude that memorial contribution be made to the Anna VFW Honor Guards.

The cremation of Michael "Mike" Alva Duskey will be personally handled by the staff of Crain Funeral Home.
