Mary Ruth Bloodworth

Mary Ruth Bloodworth, 76, of Collinsville, and formerly of Pontoon Beach, died Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born on Nov. 28, 1947, in Anna, the daughter of Ralph and Audrey Shoemaker Turner.

She married Willard L. Bloodworth in Anna on June 14, 1964. He preceded her in death on July 18, 2020.

The loving mother and grandmother enjoyed gardening, both vegetable and flowers ,and another favorite interest was birds. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She is survived by a son, Ronnie (Darlene) Bloodworth of Collinsville; two  grandchildren, Tessa (Corey) Knotts and Alexandra (German Garcia) Bloodworth; three great-grandchildren, Kadyn Knotts, Brenden Knotts and Corey Knotts Jr.; three brothers, John (Cathy) Turner of North Carolina, Jim (Anna Bell) Turner of Anna and Jake Turner of Anna; a sister, Lucy (Mike) Puckett of Sparta; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Turner of Tennessee.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Turner; and two sisters, Marilyn Palmer and Margaret Lang.

Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City was in charge of arrangements.
