She left behind her 4 daughters; Debbie (Dan) David of Jessup, Ga., Janet (Travis) Rose of Olmsted, Ill., Becky (Pierre) DuBois of Cape Girardeau, Mo. and Sandra Dee Thornton of Panama City, Fla.

At the age of 18, Mary Jane Ledbetter met Wilburn Lee Thornton age 23 and were married Dec. 27, 1953 in Corinth, Miss.

Along with their 4 daughters they had 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren with 2 on the way, and 4 great great grands.

Mary has a beautiful surviving sister, Stella Britt of Jackson, Mich. and a host of nephews and nieces she loved very much.

Mary Jane’s work history included Jimmies IGA, Milo Grain, Commonwealth and Monumental Ins. and the Pulaski Co. Circuit Clerk’s office under Cindy Kennedy.

Mom was a member of the Caledonia Community Church in Olmsted, Ill. She loved people, friends, Jesus, family, and was a hard worker and a good person.

She thought if you’re going to get up in the morning then get dressed, put on a smile, and say something good about somebody.
