Mary Gladys Wilson
Mary Gladys Wilson died at her home on Nov. 17, 2021, at the age of 86.
She was born to Ella and Elliott Sanders on June 23, 1935.
She loved spending time in her garden and had a gift for growing an array of wonderful plants. She also had a gift with drawing and painting, and she loved sewing, quilting and cross stitching.
She spent many years of her life helping those with disabilities. She was devoted to her church community and cherished her relationship with God.
Surviving are her six children, Louise (Robert) Brown of Shreveport, La., Garry (Jan) Stevens of Dallas, Texas, Larry (Susan) Stevens of Denton, Texas, Theresa (Mark) Glass of Salem, Ore., Terry (Dawn) Stevens of Mt. Morris and Ellen (Jim) Simmons of Olive Branch; one sister, Noma Dodson of Thebes; one brother, Art Bledsoe of Tampico; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wilson; her parents; and a brother, Neal Bledsoe.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 4 at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms. Interment followed in Mt Zion Cemetery in Thebes.
