Mary Elizabeth Yeckley

Our sweet mother, Mary Elizabeth Yeckley, passed away at her home on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, after a long, full life. 

She was the kindest soul to everyone she met. Loved by all, her family was her greatest joy. She was well known in the community for her 40-year career in banking. She will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. She is now in her forever home in heaven.

Mary was born on June 3, 1941, in Anna, the daughter of Winstead and Blanche Duskey Wright. 

In 1960, she married Clarence Bradford Yeckley. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2013.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Tina (Chris) Whiteside and Gina (Tim) Greenwood; grandchildren Rachel (Michael) Harvel, Ashley (Adam) Taylor, Alex McRaven, Braydon Greenwood and Maryn Greenwood; great-grandchildren Blake Pena, Dylan Harvel, Caroline, Shepard, Silas and Collins Taylor; a niece, Cecilia Wright-Santos; daughter-in-law Karen Robinson; sister-in-law Shirley Corzine; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Terry Lee and Gary Wayne Yeckley; grandson Brendan Avery Greenwood; sister Bonnie Evelyn Wright; brother William Robert Wright; and two nephews, William Robbie Wright and Winstead Ronnie Wright. 

Funeral services for Mary E. Yeckley were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Interment followed at Camp Ground Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Camp Ground Cemetery.
