Mary Elizabeth Landreth Winn

Mary Elizabeth Landreth Winn, 95, of Cobden, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at Union County Hospital in Anna. 

She was born on May 30, 1923, in Cobden, the daughter of Floyd F. Sr. and Esther Aldridge Landreth. 

She married the love of her life, Carl Lee Winn, on June 4, 1949, in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on March 9, 2009.

 She is survived by sister-in-law, Deloris Landreth of Jonesboro; nieces Carolyn (George) Sauer, Marcia (Bob) Moore, Pam (Rick) Castrey, Linda (Jay) Pickett, Charlotte (Doug) Clover, Karen (Steve) Shakiba, and Shirley Major; a nephew, Steve (Patty) Landreth; several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Lee Winn; three brothers, Stanley, Dorris and Floyd  Landreth Jr. 

She worked for 35 years for the Florsheim Shoe Factory until her retirement in 1980. She was a lifetime member of the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. She loved to garden, go fishing and to spend time with her family and church family.  

Funeral services were at noon Saturday, March 16, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, with Pastor Bobbie Shultz officiating. Interment was in the Anna Cemetery. 

Memorials can be made to the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church.
