Marilyn Kay Forrest

Marilyn Kay Forrest, 75, of Bradenton, Fla., and formerly of Jonesboro, died on Feb. 22, 2018, at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Fla.     

She was born on Dec. 20, 1942, in Anna, the daughter of John Marion and Hester Naomi Johnson Forrest.  

She is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Johnny Forrest; paternal grandparents Curtis and Eva Reams Forrest; and maternal grandparents, William and Della Webb Johnson. 

She dedicated her life to helping others. She worked as a registered nurse, as a secretary for a displaced homemaker program, as a massage therapist and as a parental health care provider. 

She graduated from Anna-Jonesboro Community High School. She attended the Missouri Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, Southeast Missouri College, Manatee Community Junior College and real estate school.

Graveside services will be at 11 Friday, Oct. 12, at the Jonesboro Cemetery, with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.  

Memorials can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
