Margaret Louise Cain

Margaret Louise Cain passed away peacefully at her home on April 12, 2025. She lived a beautiful and happy life. She loved her family, her friends, and the Lord very dearly. 

She was born in Coalgate, Okla. on Dec. 14, 1930 to James and Magdalene (Gigo) Percich. She had six brothers and sisters who have all preceded her in death. 

She had moved to Joliet, Ill. when she was in High School and met the love of her life, William “Bud” Cain. They were married on Nov. 27, 1948, and together raised three sons, Richard (Melody, Robert (Debra), and William Jr. (Carol). They were married for 68 years before Bud’s passing on Nov. 1, 2016. 

They had five grandchildren, Rocky, Todd, Bill, John, and Jessie as well as eight great- grandchildren, Eli Zander, Cody, Margaret, Ava, Isaac, Nova, and  Dave. She will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 12 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home Tamms. Visitation will be on the day of service from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will follow the service at McCrite Cemetery in Tamms.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests gratitude that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms is in charge of arrangements.
