Loretta Aldridge, 80, of Johnston City, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
She was born on Jan. 28, 1941, in Cobden, the daughter of Herman Lee and Ruth Furlow Aldridge.
She is survived by her sisters, Marie Qualls and Mary Aldridge, both of Johnston City, and Betty Marlow of West Frankfort; many nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Carl Lee Aldridge; and a sister, Geraldine Aldridge.
She was a member of the Harmony Freewill Baptist Church for many years. She loved animals and especially adored her cats.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Friday, March 12, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, with Pastor Bruce Thurman officiating. Interment was in the Cobden Cemetery.
