Londa Faye Peterson

Londa Faye Peterson

Londa Faye Peterson, 56, of Anna, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Ind., with her husband holding her hand.

She was born on Sept. 6, 1968, in Blytheville, Ark., the daughter of the Rev. Rev. Joseph and Sheila Keen Aldridge.

On Aug. 12, 2000, she married the love of her life, Kevin Peterson.  They shared 24 years of making wonderful memories.

She graduated from West Aurora High School, Class of 1986.

She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as a young child. Her dad had the honor of baptizing her as his sister-in-Christ. She served the Lord at the Community of Faith Church in Marion. She was on the praise team at the church. She loved to sing praises to the Lord. As a child, she and her sisters would gather around the piano with their dad and sing and sing. This passed on through her adulthood with her sisters and dad.  She was a woman of faith.  She inspired others with her words of faith and encouragement.

She loved thrift shopping. If there was a bargain to be had, she was the one who would find it.

She loved balloons and decorating for parties. She made every event colorful and fun.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her mom, who was her best friend. They would go on adventures and purposely get lost. Her mom was her right hand, especially during the last few months of her life.

She was a very giving person, even at the time of her death. She was an organ donor. In the words of her baby sister, “her memory endures through the lives she touched through organ donation.” Her sweet legacy will forever be remembered through those lives.
