Kimberly Dawn Shaffar

Kimberly Dawn Shaffar, 53, of Anna, died Monday, March 20, 2023, at Union County Hospital. 

She was born on Feb. 18, 1970, in Waukegan, the daughter of Richard and JoAnn Albrecht Shaffar.

She is survived by her daughter, Sophie Shaffar (Joshua); sister Melissa Shaffar; nieces and nephews Marc Shaffar (Kevin), Kat Gerharz (Rhea), Zachariah Shaffar (Kiersten) and Faith Gerharz; great-nieces and nephews Myles, Zain, Aria, Oliver, Avery and Jace; uncle Garon Albrecht (Arlene); and cousins Garon Albrecht Jr. (Tracey) and Dawn Nierodzik (James). She also leaves her loving pets, Bella and Penny.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Mark Gray; and an uncle, Timothy Albrecht.

She was an outgoing, loving, free spirit. She was always the life of the party. She enjoyed listening to music, especially the Grateful Dead. She had worked as a branch office manager and medical assistant before becoming a stay at home mom.

No services are scheduled at this time. Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
