Kay Whitney

Kay Whitney, 70, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau. 

She was on born July 21, 1947, in Anna, the daughter of Elbert and Verneal Jordan Hileman. 

She married Cecil Ray Whitney in 1967 in Union County. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children, Sandra D. (Matthew) Dare of Jonesboro, Chuck (Melissa) Whitney of Jackson, Mo., and Thomas J. (Beth) Whitney of Jonesboro; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of the Mill Creek Lutheran Church.  

A visitation service was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.  

Memorials can be made to the St. John’s Cemetery.
