Katherine A. Robertson

Katherine A. Robertson, 90, of Olmsted, died at 9:47 a.m. Thursday, July 20, 2023, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1932, in Olmsted, the daughter of Charles and Velma Barnes Simpson.

She attended the Olmsted United Methodist Church, where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women. 

She was a former secretary and treasurer for the Olmsted Historical Society. Mrs. Robertson was librarian for over 36 years at the library in Olmsted that is now named after her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Joe Robertson, on Nov. 11, 2015; and by two brothers, Wayne and Bill Simpson.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Jackie Robertson and Kevin and Charlotte Robertson; grandchildren Shannon (Allison) Robertson, Mary Katherine (Kenneth) Greenberger, Sidney and Katelyn Robertson; great-grandchildren Kameron Greenberger and Morgan Robertson; a brother, Phillip (Diane) Simpson; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at noon Monday, July 24, at Caledonia Community Church in Olmsted. Pastor Mike Sharp officiated. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery in Olmsted.
