Jonathan ‘John’ Kraatz

Jonathan “John” Kraatz, 66, of Anna, died at 12:55 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, at his home.

He was born on April 8, 1950, in Anna, the son of Harold and Charlotte Holcomb Kraatz.

He is survived by his father, Harold Kraatz of Anna; a brother, Paul (Diane) Kraatz of Jonesboro; a niece, Paula (Aaron) Stover of Lick Creek; a nephew, Cody (Kim) Kraatz of Makanda; great-nieces and nephews Kaylee, Kenzie, Kaleb and Tyler; other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He was recently saved through the Baptist Church. He was a longtime member of the Dongola Fire Department. He worked for Cellular One, Roy Walker Communications and was an avid ham radio operator.

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Kraatz were at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Anna City Cemetery, with the Rev. LaRue Parr officiating. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.
