John Scott Boatright

John Scott Boatright, 65, of Flora, and formerly of Anna and Champaign-Urbana, died Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Flora Gardens Rehab in Flora. 

He was born on Nov. 19, 1957, in Carbondale, the son of Dr. Jean R. and Betty Glascock Boatright.

Mr. Boatright was a well-respected and well-known award winning chef in Champaign and Urbana area restaurants. 

He is survived by his sons, Mike Boatright and Chad Boatright; grandchildren Kindal, Brady, Braxton, Cohl and Kaylea; and a brother, Thomas Boatright.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Lindale Memorial Gardens in Eldorado. Interment followed the graveside services.

Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro was in charge of arrangements.
