Jerrell I. "Jerry" Caudle

Jerrell I. "Jerry" Caudle, 85, of Olmsted, Ill. passed away at  7:34 pm Saturday, Feb. 7, 2026, at his residence.

Jerry was born April 7, 1940, in Olmsted, Ill, son to the late Louis and Georgia Lee (Eastwood) Caudle.

Airplanes were his passion, he built model airplanes and provided them at airshows in Metropolis and he flew his own plane. Jerry was manager at the Metropolis Municipal Airport. He also enjoyed building motorcycles and riding them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Barg.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Caudle; his children, Steve (Patti) Caudle, Kevin (Jacky) Caudle, Jeff (Candi) Caudle, Dee (Mitch) Helm, Shannon (Deanna) Latham and Steve (Amanda) Helms; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2026, at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge. Pastor Mike Sharp officiated. Interment followed in the Masonic Cemetery in Olmsted, Ill.
