Jean V. Cauble
Jean V. Cauble, 89, of Carbondale, died Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Meramec Bluffs in Ballwin, Mo.
She was born on Sept. 15, 1933, in Anna, the daughter of Loel and Agnes (Ledbetter) Verble Sr.
On June 8, 1951, she married Bill Cauble. They shared almost 64 years of making wonderful memories. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2015.
She loved going to the Carbondale senior center for lunch and visiting with her friends. She was a bingo champion at Meramec Bluffs in St. Louis.
Jean and Bill were avid travelers, traveling to all 50 states and to numerous other countries.
She was an active member of University Baptist Church. She volunteered for the pink geranium gift shop in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
She was a true servant and friend always having a spirit of love.
She was a wonderful mom and grandma, dedicated to her family and loving them well.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie (Randy) Benz of Des Peres, Mo.; granddaughters Brandi (Jeff) Koziatek and Kristi (Jason) Atkinson of Kirkwood, Mo., Mallori (fiancé, Chris Scott and his son, Wyatt) Benz of San Jose, Calif., and Stefani (Ryan) Brouk of Ballwin, Mo.; great-grandchildren Cale and Aiden Koziatek, Judah and Ruby Atkinson, Aurora Scott and Penny Brouk (on the way); other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; an infant daughter, Becky; and brothers, Loel Verble Jr., Carl Verble and Donnie Verble.
Funeral services for Jean V. Cauble will be Saturday, April 1, at 3 p.m. at Crain Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with the Rev. John Annable officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
