Janet Chester Barham
Janet Chester Barham, 66, of Karnak, died at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023, at the Parkview Nursing Home in Paducah.
She was born on Nov. 23, 1956, in Pontiac.
She had worked over 25 years as a registered nurse at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis. She was a graduate of Vienna High School.
She was a member of the Karnak Pentecostal Church. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling with her late husband Jeff on their Harley-Davidson Motorcycle.
She is survived by two daughters, Jennifer (Josh) McClellan of Grand Chain and Jamie Barham of Karnak; two grandchildren, Bryce McClellan of Grand Chain and Emmaleah Ray of Karnak; six sisters, Linda Chunn (Frank) of Fort Bragg, N.C., Donna McCabe (Gary) of Goreville, Gloria Cox (Bob) of Kansas, Judy Krueger (Alan) of Florida, Patty Jackson (Rabbit) of Buncombe and Sandy English (Tony) of Paducah; and one brother, Dale Chester of Vienna.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Barham, in 2020; her parents, Carl and Katherine Goskie Chester; and one sister, Nyla Chester.
Funeral services honoring the life of Janet Chester Barham were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15, at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. Pastor Tammy Horn officiated. Interment followed at the Cypress Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bryce McClellan, Josh McClellan, Tray English, Brian McCabe, Brad Jones and Connor Butcher.
