Helen G. Rumfelt

Helen G. Rumfelt, 58, of rural Dongola, died Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

She was born on Feb. 2, 1959, in Shawneetown, the daughter of Homer William and Dorothy May Seeley Gordon.

She married Edward Rumfelt on March 24, 2000, in Anna.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Rumfelt of Anna; children Shawnna Nicole Goolsby-Franklin and husband Bill Franklin of Metropolis, Derek Scott Goolsby of East St. Louis, Rachel Rumfelt, Sheena Lovelace, Edward Rumfelt and Lydia Janson; six grandchildren, Annie, Destiny, Gloria, Yuna, Genevive and Mable; three brothers; two sisters; other relatives and friends.

She wished to be cremated. Her family plans a celebration of her life at a later date.
