Harry Jones

Harry Jones, 37, of Oakton, Ky., and formerly of Lovelaceville and Wickliffe, Ky., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 1972, from a head-on collision in South Fulton, Tenn. 

Mr. Jones was born on April 30, 1935, the son of Hannon and May Mcintosh Jones. 

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked as a chief engineer for Apple Towing Company on the river. 

Survivors include one son, Bruce Jones of Ewing, Mo.; two daughters, Valerie Jones Adams of Ewing, Mo., and Dianne Hite of Urbandale; three grandsons, Jonathan Adams, Chance Renard and Matthew Lee; one granddaughter, Brittany Lee; two great-grandsons, Jackson and Aiden Wilson; and one great-granddaughter, Sterling Renard. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Burial was at Bethlehem Cemetery outside Wickliffe, Ky., on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1972.
