Gordon Patrick ‘Pat’ Sams

Gordon Patrick “Pat” Sams, 71, of Cairo, died Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, at Mercy Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on Dec. 11, 1952, in Cairo, the son of William L. and Afton I. Robertson Sams.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He married Lois Dean Estes on Nov. 19, 1999, in Wickliffe, Ky. She preceded him in death on Jan. 24, 2024.

He is survived by a sister, Carol Britt of Madisonville, Ky.; and a daughter, Rebecca Nixdorf of Lewiston, Pa.

No services will be held for Pat Sams.
