Goldie E. Woods
Goldie E. Woods, 105, of Jonesboro, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, at the Jonesboro Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born on March 6, 1913, in Reynoldsville, the daughter of James Sheridan and Laura Hooker Clardy.
She married Robert “Bob” Wall on Nov. 20, 1935. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1956. She later married James Woods on Aug. 28, 1965. He preceded her in death in May 1992.
She is survived by her grandson, Scott (Shawnna) Rhine of Anna; step-grandson Toby (Carmen) Rhine of Dongola; two great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Megan Rhine; a son-in-law, Everett (Judy) Rhine of Anna; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, a daughter, Carolyn Rhine; five sisters; and three brothers.
She was a faithful member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Jonesboro. She worked for the State of Illinois as a mental health technician in Manteno until her retirement.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Mark Goins officiating. Private interment was in the Anna Cemetery.
