Gloria M. Sivia

Gloria M. Sivia, 80, of Jonesboro, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, at Union County Hospital in Anna. 

She was born on Jan. 27, 1944, in Thebes, the daughter of Lilbourn and Jessie Anglin Riley. 

On May 24, 2008, she married Bobby Ray Sivia at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Sivia; daughter Kimberly Doublin of Anna; three sons, Edward (Kim) Prater of Murphysboro, Clyde (Anita) Prater of Dowell and Glen Prater (Geraldine Knupp) of Anna; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Sharon Riley; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Lilbourn Riley; her mother, Jessie Tucker; one grandchild; and a brother, Jerry Dean Riley.

She was a kind soul. She enjoyed camping. From an early age, walking was one of her favorite activities. She loved to walk up and down the Jonesboro hill and to spend time with her family. She will be dearly missed.

Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at Mission Chapel Cemetery in Dongola, with Pastor Lupe Lopez officiating. Interment immediately followed. Memorials can be made to Help at Home.
