Gary ‘Snake’ Greer
Gary “Snake” Greer, 68, of Paducah, Ky., died at 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1955, in Rockford.
He was a member of the Free Spirit Biker Church in Paducah, Ky. He was a tattoo artist and was a member of the DC Eagles Motorcycle Club.
He was a carpenter and was involved in building the Ripley’s Aquarium at Sea World in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He participated in many charities. He loved helping people.
He is survived by his lifelong friend, Susan Whiteside; three daughters, Tonya Vinson of Paducah, Jojo Greer (Mario) of Paducah and Julie Franklin; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; a sister, Laquita (Jeff) Wendel of Paducah; a brother, Jimmy Greer of Paducah; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Mary Roof Greer; a sister, Sylvia Marlow; and two brothers, Ronnie and Carl Greer.
A memorial service honoring the life of Mr. Gary (Snake) Greer was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at the Free Spirit Biker Church in Paducah, Ky. Pastor Dennis Lawrence officiated.
Those who wanted to participate met at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church for Snake’s last ride.
Immediately following the memorial service, a meal was served at the church.
Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak was in charge of arrangements.
