Fay Evalena Flick

Fay Evalena Flick, age 81 of Cobden, passed away Sunday, Oct. 19, 2025 at her home. 

She was born on Sept. 11, 1944 in Belvidere, Ill., the daughter of Esta and Catherine (Melton) Reynolds. She married Ken Flick on Jan. 25, 1963.

Evalena in survived by her husband Ken of Cobden; children, Kevin Wayne (Cindy) Flick of Vienna, Bruce Flick of Boskeydell and Kenykay Flick of Alto Pass; grandchildren, Lindsey, Kelly (Josh), Gage, Aaron (Marissa), Sarah, Will (Jessica) and Jessie (Logan); great-grandchildren, Bailey, Brock, Lauren, Wyatt, Marshell, Madrick and Malcolm; sister, Carolyn (Delmar) Hunziker; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald (Ruthie) Reynolds and Albert (Phyllis) Reynolds; granddaughter, Robin and Kenykay’s fiancé, Dave Hubbs.

Fay was a member of Harvest Church in Anna. She worked in factories, including the shoe factory and Dyno Nobel. She also worked as a cook at Southern Illinois University. 

Cooking wasn’t just a job; it was something she greatly enjoyed. She volunteered in the kitchen at Harvest Church but most of all, she loved cooking for and spending time with her family. 

She and Ken enjoyed traveling together, driving many miles just enjoying the scenery.

Funeral services for Evalena Flick were held on Saturday, Oct. 25 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden with Rev. Davy Miller officiating. Interment followed in the Cobden Cemetery.
