Evelyn B. Fore

Evelyn B. Fore, 94, of Olive Branch, died Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, at 8:24 a.m. at The Lutheran Home of Cape Girardeau.

She was born on June 9, 1927, the daughter of Charles L. Volner, Sr. and Alice Virtus Hale Volner in Cairo.

She married Gene Fore, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed being a homemaker. 

Mrs. Fore is survived by her daughter, Glenda (Steve) Burgess; seven grandchildren, Monica (Michael) Honey, Julie (Mikie) Poole, Joel (Rena) McHarry, Angela Dillinger, Tara (Mike) Story, Tanda (Jared) Vaughn and Clayton Fore; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles L. Volner, Jr., William Volner and Walter “Wally” McCowan; and a son, Gary Fore.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, with the Rev. Steven Vester officiating. Interment followed in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
