Edward Smith

Edward Smith, 63, of Anna, died at 4:36 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. 

He was born on July 18, 1955, in Union County, the son of William and Freda Sharp Smith.           

Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Patti Jordan of Belknap, Samantha Casper of Elkville, Nathaniel Smith of Cobden, Freda Smith of Jonesboro, Zachary and Brice Smith, both of Anna; seven grandchildren, Brooke Gibson, Kaeleigh Ralph, Justin Gibson, Hallie Casper, Brenden Casper, Jason Crabtree Jr. and Skylar Crabtree; one great-grandchild, Harmony Gibson; other relatives and many friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; by a son, Carl Smith; and by a brother, Carl Smith. 

A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
