Deon Houghlan

Deon Houghlan, 63, of Elkville, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2018, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.   

He was born on Feb. 15, 1955, the son of Edgar James and Alice Lucille Brimm Houghlan.

Mr. Houghlan is survived by his two sons, James Houghlan of Carbondale and Danny Deon Houghlan of Mascoutah; one daughter, Chris Barringer of Waterloo; six grandchildren; other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

He attended the Jubilee Tabernacle in De Soto. He worked as a mechanic for several years.

Funeral services for Deon Houghlan were at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Danny Norman officiating. Interment was in Casper Cemetery near Anna.
