Debra Ann Cross Franklin

Debra Ann Cross Franklin, 61, of Olive Branch, died at 6:40 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Sept. 14, 1958, in Cairo, the daughter of Fred Eugene and Katie Lee Estes Cross. 

She married Lynn Franklin on May 19, 1978. 

Known by many as the “Burger Shack Lady,” she owned and operated the former Burger Shack in Olive Branch and Tamms.  

Whether she just stopped to talk with you or pray with you, she always made time for others.  

She loved the beauty of butterflies, so when you see a butterfly, think of Debbie and a wonderful memory.

She is survived by her husband, Lynn; son Chance (Jennifer) Franklin; daughter Kelli (Steve) Keppner; five grandchildren, Kobe Franklin, Dawson Bevens, Cameron Bevens, Hannah Franklin and Madison Franklin; her mother, Katie Theriac; and brothers Rodney Butler and Freddie Cross.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Cross, and her stepfather, Danny Weir.

Graveside services will be held at Olive Branch Cemetery, with Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Inurnment will follow.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the Olive Branch Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery or can be mailed to Crain Funeral Home, 135 W. Vienna St., Anna, Ill. 62906.
