David William Hale
David William Hale, age 69 of Anna, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 13, 1955 in Carbondale, the son of Lester and Lorraine (Webb) Hale.
He married Linda Ford on Feb. 22, 1974.
David is survived by his wife, Linda Hale; children, Chrystal Dawn Hale, Robbie Wayne (Missy) Hale, B.J. Hale (Cristy Caylao-Hale) and Kimberly Ann Hale (Chris Bunch); grandchildren, Aubrea and Ethan Ralls (Alexis Crescitelli), Shawn Stone, Samantha (Jason)Phipps, Breauna Stone and Andrew Bunch; great-grandchildren, Saint Genesis Vicente, Ava and Weston Stone, Aiden Phipps, Dakoda Merydith and Rees Phipps; sister, Vera Belcher; brother, Travis Hale; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, great-granddaughter, Kylee Phipps and brothers, Wayne, Jeff, Mack and Eddie Hale.
David was a faith filled member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He walked with God and loved his church family and appreciated the many things they have done for he and his family.
He worked as a correctional officer for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a job he truly loved. David was an accomplished pool player. He enjoyed boxing, teaching his children how to fight. A loyal and faithful husband, he loved his wife and spending time with her and the wonderful family they built together. He will certainly be missed.
Memorial services for David Hale were held on Saturday, Nov. 1 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church 7240 Wing Hill Road in Cobden with Pastor Doug Bridgeman officiating. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
