Cheryl April Anne Wright

Cheryl April Anne Wright, 76, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2025 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Ind. 

She was born on June 16, 1948, in Meridian, Texas. 

She married Kenneth Carlson on Dec. 3, 2002. He preceded her in death Nov. 5, 2022.

She had a bright smile and cheerful personality. She worked for many years at the Trueblood dining hall on Southern Illinois University Carbondale campus. 

She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach, and making stained glass with Kenneth at their home studio. 

She is survived by her daughter, April Hill, and brother, David Dewitt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Kenneth Carlson; and brother Ernest Dewitt. She will be dearly missed.
