Charles D. Miller

Charles D. Miller, 88, of Mascoutah, and formerly of Olive Branch, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, 2023, at Brightly Senior Living in Mascoutah.

He was born on April 17, 1935, in Thebes, the son of Eugene D. and Alma I. Webb Miller.

Mr. Miller was a member of the Alexander Free Will Baptist Church in Thebes. He retired after 38 years from a chemical company in Chicago.

On April 7 1990, he married Lola Coursey Barrett.

He was preceded in death  by his parents; his first wife, Shirley J. Lipe Miller, on Nov. 17, 1988; three brothers; and two infant sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Lola Miller; sons Kevin C. Miller and Keith B. (Beth) Miller; stepchildren, Kevin J. Barrett and Tonya (Bob) Jasper; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were at noon Saturday, Nov. 18, at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms. The Rev. Sam Ramdial officiated. Interment followed in Olive Branch Cemetery in Olive Branch.
