Charlene D. Pitts

Charlene D. Pitts, 78, of Anna, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at Integrity Healthcare of Marion. 

She was born on July 12, 1945, in Anna, the daughter of Charles A. and Pearl Amanda Adams Dover. 

She married Richard Pitts on April 4, 1964. He preceded her in death on Dec. 9, 2017.

She is survived by her children, Denise (John) Garner of Anna and Shane (Angie) Pitts of Beason; five grandchildren, Ashley Polk, Chelsea Pitts, Ryan Pitts, Chase Garner (Lacey) and Tristan Garner; two great-grandchildren, Kaycee and Barrett; three sisters, Betty Taylor, Linda Keller and Janet Carter; nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a sister, Shirley Lindsey.

She was an immaculate housekeeper. She meticulously maintained her home and yard, always raking the leaves and grass after Denise mowed. She was a loving mother who took great care of her family.

Funeral services for Charlene Pitts were at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with Pastor Doug Bridgeman officiating. Interment was in Casper Cemetery near Anna. Memorials can be made to Casper Cemetery.
