Bonnie Mae (MacGill) Hawkins Treece

Bonnie Mae (MacGill) Hawkins Treece, 98, of Anna, passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025.

She was born Sept. 28, 1927 in St. Louis County, Mo., the daughter of Donald G. Sr. and Dolly Mae (Harris) MacGill. 

She was married on June 16, 1942 to Frank Hawkins and he preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 1948. 

She then married Jack W. Treece on May 16, 1950 and he preceded her on Mar. 19, 1996.

Bonnie was a long-time faithful member of Anna Heights Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sons, Don Wesley (Elaine R.) Treece and James O. Treece; her daughter, Linda Treece; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Besides her husbands and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald G. MacGill, Jr., half brother Robert MacGill, and two half sisters, Dorothy Atkins and Kitty Galleguillo.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, and from 9 to 10 on Thursday at Anna Heights Baptist Church with service at 10 with Rev. Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Casper Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made to the Bonnie Treece Memorial Mission Fund.
