Billy Mac Travis

Billy Mac Travis, age 68 of Jonesboro, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2025 at St. Louis Medical Center. 

He was born Oct. 4, 1957 in Anna, the son of Billy Lee and Maxine (Lingle) Travis.

Billy Mac is survived by his son, Jeremy Travis of Murphysboro; daughter, Rachel Travis of Wolf Lake; grandchildren, Cray Peterman, Kenlee Metzger, Gage Travis, and Brianna Travis; sister, Jennifer Brown of Anna; numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Billy Mac worked many years as a tugboat captain until his retirement. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. 

 Memorial services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
