Bill Joe King
Bill Joe King, 82, of Anna, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, at his home.
He was born on the Walton Farm in Anna on March 27, 1936, the son of Ual and Pearl Boyer King.
He was a lifetime resident of Union County. He started his trucking career working for Everett Randall in Cobden. Throughout his career he was known as “Wild Bill” by his trucking buddies. At the time of his retirement he was working for Greg’s Trucking.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking out,and spending time with his family. He was a devoted father to his three daughters and his son. He has five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one on the way.
He is survived by his longtime companion of 28 years, Donna Scivally; three daughters, Vickie Coats, Tammie Aden and Karen (Bobby) Stone; grandchildren David (Megan) Coats, Daniel (Bella) Coats, Shannon (Tiffany) Moore, Steven (Shannon) Moore and Kim (Adam) Dillon; stepchildren, Robert (Lisa) Hepburn, Andrea Hepburn, Allan (Stacey) Hepburn and their children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Justin King; sons-in-law Robert (Bobby) Coats and Dale Aden; and stepchildren Renee Hepburn and Justin Hepburn.
Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, at the Anna Cemetery. David Coats officiated.
