Betty Lou Hartline
Betty Lou Hartline, 95, of Anna, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2024, at her home.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1929, in Anna, the daughter of Lowell and Verna Bear Williams.
She married her sweetheart, James W. Hartline, on May 14, 1948, in Anna. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 2015.
Mrs. Hartline is survived by her son, Bill (Jan) Hartline of Cobden; grandchildren Jamie (Neal) Hartsock and Jason (Jessica) Hartline; four great-grandchildren, Jace Lintz, Emmett, Jacob and Nevaeh Hartline; sister-in-law Lilah Williams; one niece and two nephews; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James W. Hartline; a son, Lowell Alan Hartline; and a brother, Bob Williams.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass for many years. She worked alongside her husband on the farm, keeping up the books and making sure all the employees were taken care of.
She went back to school well into her 70s and obtained her associate degree. After finishing school, she went to work for Union County Hospital in admitting until her retirement.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. Davy Miller officiating. Interment was in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Memorials can be made to Residential Hospice.
