Betty L. Wright

Betty L. Wright, 87, of Anna, died Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at her home. 

She was born on April 11, 1937, in Alto Pass, the daughter of Jewel and Mildred Marie Dixon Sims.

She is survived by two brothers, Harvey and Ralph Sims; two sisters, Pat Woodin and Jenny Halleck, a nephew she raised, Donnie Coryell; other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Judy Sims, Audrey Delores Dover and Eula Viola Poole; three brothers, Carl, Karell “Gene” and Thomas Sims; and a nephew she raised, Tommy Coryell.

She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed a good cup of hot tea, cheese, painting, drawing and sewing. She was an amazing artist. She worked for many years as a beautician.

Funeral services for Betty Wright were at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Allen Plott officiating. Interment followed in the Alto Pass Cemetery.
