Barbara Kathleen Aldridge

Barbara Kathleen Aldridge, 85, of Troy, and formerly of Wolf Lake, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Aspen Creek, surrounded by her immediate family and special friends.

She was born on Dec. 27, 1930, in Reynoldsville, the daughter of William Curtis and Dorothy May Randall Forrest.

She married Bill Aldridge on Jan. 31, 1953, in Corinth, Miss.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Bill Aldridge of Aspen Creek in Troy; a daughter and son-in-law, LaDonna and Donnie Chandler of Collinsville; a granddaughter, Whitney (Aaron) Baker of Troy; a great-granddaughter, Nora Lee Baker; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John, Harold and Bill Forrest; and two sisters, Velma Hayes and Roberta Rendleman.

She was a member of Galilee Baptist Church in Wolf Lake for many years.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Aldridge were at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at the Jonesboro Cemetery, with Deacon Donnie Chandler officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice in Fairview Heights.
