Norman Frank Theis
Norman Frank Theis, 66, of Anna, died at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born on Feb. 19, 1943, in Balcom, the son of Willie and Mollie Angel Theis.
He married Judy Ann Shepard on Dec. 27, 1963, in Anna.
He is survived by his wife, Judy of Anna; one daughter, Carla (Marshall) Ramage of Anna; one son, Frank D. Theis of Decatur; two grandchildren, Jessica and Abilgail Barlow; one step-grandchild, Clayton Ramage; six brothers, Otto Junior Theis of Millstadt, Howard Theis Sr. of Dongola, Gilbert Theis of Metropolis, Charlie (Carolyn) Theis of Millstadt, Raymond (Georgene) Theis of Anna and Larry (Gayle) Theis of Anna; two sisters, Emma Richardson of Millstadt and Marie Cupp of Belleville; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Edwin, Alvin and Carl Theis; four sisters, Mary Louise Olson, Elsie Davis, Lenarosena Theis and Wilhemia Meneese; his parents, Willie and Mollie Theis; his father and mother-in-law, Lynn and Mildred Shepard and a son-in-law, Greg Barlow.
He was a member of Labor Local No. 773 and the United Mine Workers of America. He attended Anna Church of the Nazarene and was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Richard Keeley officiating. Interment was in Big Creek Cemetery.
Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna was in charge of arrangements.
