Helen W. Corzine

Helen W. Corzine, 90, of Anna, and formerly of Perks, died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2023, at 8 a.m. at New Haven Nursing Home in Odessa, Mo.

She was born on March 9, 1932, in Glasgow, Scotland, the daughter of David and Helen Watson Hannah. 

She married Amos Corzine on Sept. 7, 1973. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church. In her younger years she worked as a bookkeeper in Glasgow, Scotland. She moved to the United States in 1966 and began work as a cook on a riverboat.

She is survived by her daughters, Bernita Smith and Tina Young; sons Galene (Brenda) Corzine and Allen (Patti Jo) Corzine; grandchildren John Paul Smith, Brandi Buck, Caleb (Hayley) Young, Dylan (Kaysie) Young, Cassie (Derek) Lang, Adam Barber and Mandy (Cody) Purvis; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers David Hannah and George Hannah; and sisters Bobby McClelland and Patsy Edmunds. 

Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Edward Hannah; and sisters, Anne, Barbara and Pat.

Visitation will be Monday, April 10, from 10 a.m. until noon at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 10, at noon at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola.

Inurnment will follow the funeral services at Cypress Cemetery.
