Introduction to HAM Radio at Giant City State Park

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources will be hosting a beginner’s tutorial on amateur radio on Saturday, Jan. 11, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Giant City State Park Visitors Center. Licensed HAM radio operator Bruce Talley will be leading the lecture, which will touch on not just mechanics of amateur broadcasting, but also the history, importance and reliability of HAM radio.
