Marguerite S. Wade

Marguerite S. Wade, 92, of Cape Girardeau,  formerly of Gardena, CA and Tamms, died at 6:35 p.m., Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO.

She was born on May 10, 1917, in Keokuk, IA to Charles W. and Emma (Kelly) Randell.  She married William Wade on October 30, 1964.  He survives her.

She was a life member of the VFW Post #3838 in Cape Girardeau and a charter member of the Gardena Moose Lodge #430 in Gardena, CA.  She was a seamstress and did alterations for many people over the years.

She is survived by her husband, William Wade of Cape Girardeau, MO; three daughters, Emma Dell Charles) Bennett of Tamms, IL, Shirley Jane Hamilton of Bonners Ferry, ID and Sammy (Dennis) Thompson of St. Louis, MO; two sons, Perry (Carmela) Hazelwood Jr. of Tamms, IL and Melvin (Joyce) Hazelwood of Fordyce, AR; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren;

a sister, Alice Thomas of Dora, AL; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 10 brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held at  noon, Friday, July 3, 2009, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms with Rev. Tom Bridges Sr. officiating.  Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon Friday, July 3, 2009 at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
