Virginia Rose Cerney
Virginia Rose Cerney, 91, of Anna, died at 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, in Anna.
She was born on July 6, 1922, in Union County, the daughter of Samuel Washington and Glenna Alice Boyd Williams.
She married Louie Cerney on Feb. 25, 1972. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2013.
She was a member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church. She was an excellent seamstress and very hard worker.
She is survived by two sons, Gladwyn (Carolyn) Hall of Buncombe and Morris (Judy) Hall of Cobden; one stepdaughter, Cheryl (Steve) Tuma of Breckenridge, Texas; one stepson, Duane (Linda) Cerney of New York City, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Naomi Goddard of Marion.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, at Crain Funeral Home Anna-Jonesboro, with Pastor Paul Tirey officiating. Interment was in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
