Violet A. Lence

Violet A. Lence, 90, of Potosi, Missouri, formerly of Anna, died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 in Potosi Manor in Potosi, Missouri. She was born Sept. 25, 1925 in Anna, the daughter of James and Grace (Keller) Snell. She married Wayne Solomon, he preceded her in death. Later she married, Frank G. Lence on April 3, 1986. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 2007. 

She is survived by her brother, Bill Snell of Potosi, Missouri; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and sister in law, Maxine Snell.

She was a member of the Unity Baptist Church in Potosi. She and her first husband, Wayne, owned and operated Solomon's Cafe in Anna for several years.

Funeral services were at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
