Local high school athletes playing summer baseball

<p class="p1">Athletes from Union County high schools are playing this summer on area baseball teams, including American Legion squads.</p><p class="p1">The Carbondale American Legion team has several members off the Class 1A state champion Cobden team on its rosters. </p><p class="p1">Appleknockers on the team are Logan Spalt, J.T. Moore, Cayden Childers, Dylan Duty and John Russell.</p><p class="p1">Class 1A regional champion Shawnee has several members playing on the Murphysboro squad, including Nick Crane, Michael Crane, Logan McMahan and Brady Reynolds.</p><p class="p1">Shawnee’s T.J. Foeste is playing for the Senior American Legion baseball team in Cape Girardeau. Shawnee’s Hunter Smithey is playing for the Junior American Legion team in Cape Girardeau.</p><p class="p1">Shawnee’s Dylan Boston is competing on the Cape Girardeau Bulls.</p><p class="p1">Anna-Jonesboro’s Wade Haire is playing for the Southern Illinois Bulls out of Marion. Teammates Collin Prather, Isaac Pender and Blake Klett are on a combined team of the Missouri Bulls of Cape Girardeau and Southern Illinois Bullets of Marion squads.</p><p class="p2"> </p><p class="p2"> </p>
