Fairfield defeats A-J in volleyball

The Anna-Jonesboro High School volleyball team lost 25-21 and 25-19 to Fairfield in first-round sectional tournment action at Harrisburg, Nov. 3.

“We didn’t play  as well as we could have,” A-J volleyball coach Amy Fitzgerald-Wilson said.

“I think some of our key players were off. We fought hard, but just didn’t play the caliber of ball we have been playing.”

Rachel Hayden had 10 hits, 4 kills and 3 serves for the Lady Wildcats.

Kaylee Little had 6 hits and 8 kills.

Chandra Parr had 12 serves and an ace.

Leslie Donna and Adriel Cross had 5 serves apiece.

The Lady Wildcats, who finished 19-13 overall, lose five seniors to graduation.
